It would seem that hands, and the opposable thumb in particular, also confer enormous advantages in the struggle to survive, so why has it only evolved once? (9 answers) When we have a fever, why are we advised to take drugs to reduce the fever, when the fever itself is the body's own mechanism for killing the virus with which we are infected?
